Right after I finished writing my last blog saying I will never get my studio working I got my studio working. I have a booth that needs some TLC but I'm going to record in a makeshift booth for the time being. I'll probably go record right after this. I plan to get a song out by Monday right before I alienate myself from civilization for a week.
Yesterday I worked most of the day. In my free time at work I read about SEO and try to figure out how to improve my website. The problem right now is that it hasn't been indexed yet. When you have a PageRank of zero, it does not mean your website is bad, it just means that the Googlebots haven't given it a PageRank yet (or, you could be banned - but that's not the case as I still show up in Google results and I don't think I did anything wrong). Right now I'm trying to figure out a way to be indexed quicker. I tried a program called TrafficBug but it hasn't really helped me. The fact is, some people wait MONTHS for their site to be indexed. Other people, who have a lot of pull on the internet, can get their site indexed within hours. I'm not ready to wait months. I know that as soon as my site is given a PageRank and the Backlinks are calculated for, I should be on page one of Google results and should have a PageRank of at least a 3.
Today I'm going to spend most of my time fuelling up for next week. I work again tomorrow so I won't have time when I get home as I'm usually really tired after work. But I'm pretty sure Saturday will be the day I begin my excursion into the mind.Ryan Hartigan
